Expungements

The Michigan criminal expungement laws were changed in January 2015. The law was broadened to allow more persons to erase criminal convictions from their criminal record. The new criteria for the Michigan expungement law allows more individuals to clear offenses from their criminal history.

While there are still restrictions on the types of convictions that can be expunged, the laws have evolved and now many more people may have their convictions removed, including felonies.
